CNC Lead, LINC (Part-time, Permanent)
CCS is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or immigration status.
We are searching for a part-time CNC Lead who will be supporting the LINC program by providing quality childcare for children (8 months to 6 years old) from diverse backgrounds, while coordinating and supervising CNC Workers and volunteers.

What you will be doing?
- Prepare program plans using emergent curriculum focus to prepare children for kindergarten
- Develop children’s program to facilitate language and social skills development and integration of children
- Co-ordinate and supervise CNC Workers and volunteers
- Collect, review and file CNC Workers’ daily activity plans
- Assess and register children in program
- Ensure development and compliance of health & safety standards and best practices
- Actively integrate parents into the childcare centre; provide guidance to parents
- Seek to resolve conflicts or issues with parents, staff and/or volunteers
- Provide guidance to, and resolve conflicts with, parents
- Monitor compliance of the Ontario LINC Childminding Guidelines
- Provide guidance and training to Childminders in the development of the children’s program
- Prepare needs assessment and plan childminding professional development program
- Collect, tabulate and prepare narrative reports on a monthly and ad hoc basis and other information as required
- Prepare and submit monthly statistical and cash reports
- Evaluate and make recommendations to Manager regarding program delivery
- Assist in childminding
- Provide input to LINC Manager in preparing funding applications
What are we looking for?
- Early Childhood Education Diploma from a recognized institution is required
- Experience working with children from infants to school age
- Creative and able to plan and implement age-appropriate activities
- Sensitive to cultural, linguistic and religious diversity
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
- TB test and up-to-date immunization records
Location: 4557 Hurontario St., Mississauga, ON
Compensation: $25.79 to $28.56 based on experience
Hours of work: 19 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime as required
