 (Full-time Contract until March 31, 2026 to cover a leave of absence)

CCS is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or immigration status.

We are searching for a full-time Coordinator, French Services supports the RSTP program by strengthening the capacity of Francophone communities to participate in the PSR and BVOR programs. The incumbent is responsible for building partnerships, planning and delivering training sessions, and the translation of training materials and resources.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing and implementing a plan to build partnerships with Francophone institutions including those in rural or remote communities
  • Planning, co-designing, and delivering training or information sessions for specific communities and on specific topics
  • Organizing meetings to promote private sponsorship
  • Supporting Francophone organizations interested in becoming SAHs through information sessions and one on one support
  • Organizing awareness activities by creating promotional materials to increase the interest and engagement of the Francophone communities in sponsorship of refugees in collaboration with Francophone Immigration Networks
  • Coordinating awareness activities with partner organizations
  • Fully translating (or overseeing the translation of) RSTP website, training materials, and resources
  • Working in close collaboration with the French Trainer to support Francophone sponsors
  • Assisting RSTP management with the implementation of evaluation measures on program effectiveness and recommending program improvement and refinement
  • Assisting in preparing regular internal and external reports detailing project activities and progress on deliverables by the required deadlines
  • Administrative responsibilities as required

What are we looking for?

  • Community College Diploma in Social Services or related fields or the equivalent in training and experience
  • Experience in refugee sponsorship or working in the area of refugee protection and or resettlement of refugees
  • Experience with and knowledge of global refugee migration system, Canada’s immigration, resettlement and refugee protection policies, and the Private Sponsorship of Refugees program
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French is mandatory with the ability to deliver service (written and oral) in both languages
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships with the francophone communities in Canada

Location: Scarborough, ON

Compensation: $37.61 to $39.88 based on experience

Hours of work: 35 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime as required
