Employment Access Liaison (Permanent, Full-time)

We are searching for a full-time Employment Access Liaison responsible to provide assessments, coaching and employment support to newcomers to meet their employment needs.

What you will be doing:
- Conduct client assessments and develop individual employment plans based on agreed upon goals
- Develop and execute outreach plans and promotional materials to promote the program and recruit participants
- Provide individual and group coaching and support to clients related to their employment needs
- Develop, implement and evaluate activities geared to meet the pre and post-employment need of clients
- Provide information on labour market trends, licensing requirements, and the certification process for specific fields covered in CCS training programs
- Ongoing support and follow up with clients through active case management
- Review clients’ employment action plans and update / revise as needed
- Develop and facilitate workshops and training sessions, and assess training outcomes to implement necessary improvements
- Provide internal and external referrals as required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and program files
- Work with Program Coordinator and project team to facilitate assessment and evaluation activities to achieve and enhance project outcomes
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely statistical, financial and progress reports as required
- Support Project Coordinator and Manager in ensuring funder’s contractual obligations are met
- Conduct continuous research on employment trends relevant to the Canadian Labour Market
- Provide recommendations for improvement, development and/or expansion of the program to ensure proactive response to clients’ changing needs
What are we looking for?
- Diploma or Degree in Social Services, Humanities, Adult Education and/or or equivalent experience and education in a related field
- Minimum of two years’ experience in employment assessment, coaching and group facilitation
- Experience in working with clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Ability to travel regularly in the GTA required; valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a car is an asset
Location: Scarborough, ON
Compensation: $29.09 to $32.37 based on experience
Hours of work: 35 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime as required
