Employment Program Coordinator, Training Programs

(Full-time, Contract until March 31, 2026)

CCS is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or immigration status.

We are searching for a part-time Coordinator, Training Programs who will be responsible for the coordination of the Toronto ELT and Employment-Related Training Programs, and helping to develop and manage a new LMS for our online curriculum content.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the assigned ELT and Employment-Related Training Programs, including client recruitment, service delivery, and partner relations.
  • Coordinate and oversee the program outreach plan to clients, community partners, and employers.
  • Coordinate work processes and project timelines for programs at various stages of development, ensuring compliance with funding agreements.
  • Measure, monitor, and evaluate program activities and outcomes according to the program plan, ensuring all deliverables are met.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employer networks and service providers.
  • Guide and support the development of a Learner Management System (LMS) to effectively centralize online training materials for ELT and Employment-Related Training Programs and ensure their accessibility and ease of use for instructors and learners
  • Update and maintain the LMS and materials
  • Respond to and resolve learner inquiries or issues escalated through the LMS
  • Support individual learners by providing clear options, next steps, troubleshooting, and appropriate resolutions.
  • Assist in the ongoing evaluation of LMS data sources for accuracy, relevance, and appropriateness.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in LMS and online learning, advising learners and development partners, and making recommendations to resolve course-related issues.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the learning management system.
  • Track results and create recap reports for partners as required by agreements.
  • Prepare and submit accurate, timely statistical, financial, and progress reports to the Employment Manager.

What are we looking for?

  • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in a related field i.e., Adult education, Instructional Design, Project Management, Business Administration or equivalent experience and education in a related field
  • Minimum 2- 3 years’ experience in Learning and Development deployment, particularly in education and non-profit setting 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Zoom and Moodle 
  • Experience in content management and learning management system 
  • Strong understanding of adult education theories, instructional design methodologies, and strategies for delivering effective language training programs, including occupation-specific modules.
  • Experience with Articulate 360 and implementation of a learning management system using Moodle is a strong asset 
  • Familiarity with Teaching English As a Second Language approaches and pedagogies and other language acquisition methodologies to inform curriculum selection, resource development, and program enhancements
  • Travel to other CCS locations and partner organizations will be needed as required

Location: Toronto, ON

Compensation:  $32.63 to $36.32 based on experience

Hours of work: 35 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime as required
