Employment Project Lead

(Part-time Contract until March 31, 2026)

CCS is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or immigration status.

We are searching for a part-time Employment Project Lead who will be responsible to support the Program Manager to coordinate workflow and enhance service delivery. The position leads the team in the effective achievement of daily operations, and works with the Manager and team to ensure accurate data collection and enhance service delivery.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of assigned employment programs including client service, staff supervision, and partner relations
  • Coordinate and oversee the program outreach plan to client, community partners and employers
  • Manage project delivery to meet project outcomes and contractual obligations
  • Coordinate program activities and support team members to ensure that key milestones and deadlines are met; manage tasks and communicate timelines
  • Develop strong employer relationships and networks; monitor employer engagement
  • Measure, monitor, and evaluate program activities according to program plan, and ensure all deliverables are met
  • Monitor outcomes, targets and success rates to ensure compliance with funding agreements
  • Work with program teams to schedule activities to ensure adequate staff coverage and uninterrupted service to clients
  • Identify, develop and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations to ensure strong program uptake
  • Follow and enforce internal standards, policies and procedures
  • Guide and supervise project staff, students and volunteers
  • Support EAP Manager on preparing/monitoring program budgets and meeting all financial reporting timelines
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely statistical, narrative and progress reports to the EAP Manager and other stakeholders on a regular and ad hoc basis
  • Assess needs and develop initiatives for future employment-related programming
  • Ensure timely and accurate record keeping in agency and funder databases i.e. OCMS, iCARE including review, troubleshoot and edit iCARE uploads

What are we looking for?

  • Post-secondary degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3- 5 years’ experience in delivery/implementation of employment programs for newcomers and other vulnerable groups
  • Previous supervisory experience in the non-profit sector
  • Previous work experience in employment counselling and settlement services is an asset
  • Current working knowledge of employment related legislation and professional practice standards and licensing requirements in Ontario
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current Canadian Labour Market and employment trends
  • Demonstrated ability to organize team activities and lead committees
  • Organized and detail oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities, objectives and deadlines
  • Excellent leadership, communication, planning, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Sound judgement and demonstrated ability to exercise tact and diplomacy
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills
  • Excellent oral and written English skills are required, second language relevant to the community is an asset

Location: Peel, ON

Compensation: $35.31 to $39.31 based on experience

Hours of work21 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime as required
