Scissor Lift Operator (Temp Position)

JOB SUMMARY

AES is hiring Scissor Lift Operator (Temp Position) – Warehouse Racking and Shelving for our client in Brampton.

As a Scissor Lift Operator, your responsibility will involve working at heights to assist with racking and shelving tasks using a scissor lift. The role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-call position and hours are based on the weather.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate scissor lifts to perform racking, shelving, and inventory organization tasks at various heights.
• Safely handle and store products, ensuring proper placement and arrangement of shelves and racks.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures when working at heights, ensuring the work area is free from hazards.
• Assist in loading and unloading products as needed, using scissor lift or manual handling methods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
• Perform routine inspections of scissor lift equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate safety gear (harness, helmet, etc.) when working at heights.
• Support the warehouse team with any additional duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS
• Mandatory to have Active Scissor Lifts and Working at Height License
• Previous experience working on a scissor lift or aerial work platform (AWP) is required.
• Ability to work at heights safely and comfortably.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or industrial setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit, able to stand, bend, and lift items for extended periods of time.

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to work at heights of 20 feet or higher.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (up to 60 lbs).
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, noisy warehouse environment.
COMPENSATION
• Pay: $25 per hour

WORKING CONDITIONS

• 8 hour Day, Evening and NIght shift
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
