Job Summary

The Digital Print Operator is responsible for processing print-ready files on production equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Follow a specific schedule to print production orders
  • Operate Xerox Printers, Xerox iGen4 Color Printers and Ricoh IP5000 Color Continuous Inkjet System
  • Printer set-up
  • Submitting print files to printers
  • Verify printer alignment is set up correctly and make adjustments if required
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure the product is compliant
  • Place Service Calls when required
  • Clear out printer jams as required
  • Scan job print tickets in BOWE One
  • Fill out daily production logs
  • Responsible for keeping work area organized and clean
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety, Security policy and departmental procedures

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Follow remake procedures
  • Assist in training new operators
  • Attend DP Communication meetings
  • Comply with environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures and report any Environment, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate Supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements

Work Experience:
  • Color Management Experience

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong verbal, written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to run Xerox B/W printers, Xerox iGen4 and/or Ricoh continuous inkjet system
  • Work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Mathematical ability g. addition, subtraction, problem-solving
  • Knowledge of computers
Education:
  • Completed high school diploma or some post-education is preferred

Working Conditions

  • Clean Secure working environment
  • Smock / Safety Shoes requirement
  • Able to stay for overtime as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Maybe required to lift up to 40lbs
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Flexible with switching shifts when required

This job is full-time temporary, and possible transitioning to permanent position ; Work hours: From Monday to Friday, 03:00PM to 11:00PM, Rate: $17 to $18 /hour depending on experience
