Role:

Reporting to the General Manager the Shipper/Receiver’s principal duties are to ship, receive client’s orders and materials, maintain inventory control activities & records & perform other related work.

Responsibilities:

  • Receives & unloads freight either manually or with equipment such as forklifts & pallet jacks
  • Checks for damaged goods. Verifies quantity and quality of order
  • Verifies items received with a corresponding purchase order
  • Prepares orders for the various clients
  • Ship orders to the client based on pre-established purchase orders
  • Preparing & reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Provide information to customers and shipping companies
  • Clean and maintain a safe work environment
  • Record and maintain GMP records of activities
  • Work safely
  • Assign work to forklift drivers and shipping helpers
  • Perform other work as assigned by the General Manager

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma, GED or 3 years’ related experience
  • Experience in handling, receiving, storing and shipping materials, orders or supplies
  • Relevant GMP knowledge or training
  • Computer expertise especially with Microsoft Office, SAP and EDI
  • Willingness to be trained on the operation of power and/or hand tools
  • Good communicator
  • Valid Driver’s license.
